Arun Kundra

Arun Kundra is a distinguished entrepreneur, philanthropist, and engineer whose career spans diverse industries and impactful ventures. With a visionary mindset and a track record of successful real estate developments, Mr. Kundra has established himself as a dynamic leader in the fields of construction, land development, and self-storage investments.

Mr. Kundra’s professional journey began with honorable service as a Naval Officer and Marine Engineer. His career progressed into operational and managerial roles at a thermal power plant with the Connecticut Electric Utility, where he honed his skills in energy systems and large-scale infrastructure management. Leveraging this foundation, he transitioned into real estate, where he has successfully developed numerous residential and commercial projects, including single-family home communities and large-scale land developments.

Among his notable achievements is the conversion of a 140,000-square-foot self-storage facility in Montgomery, Alabama—now professionally managed by Extra Space Storage. Currently, Mr. Kundra is spearheading the development of two new self-storage facilities: one near The Villages, Florida, and the other in Tallahassee, Florida.

Beyond business, Mr. Kundra is deeply committed to community service and civic engagement. He has served as Community Director for Synovus Bank since 2005, is a founding member of the Lions Club of Monticello, Florida, and a life member of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA). He also served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Hindu Temple of Tallahassee, among other leadership roles.

Mr. Kundra holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and a Master of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.

He and his wife, Manju Kundra, have been happily married for 45 years. Together, they take great pride in their two accomplished children and grandchildren.
